The Holy Spirit – His Baptism

Date: 23 June 2019 | Speaker: Peter Jackel

Can we be baptised in the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Trinity. We serve one God – single in nature, but 3 in persons (think of the human race – one nature or essence, but searate, distinct persons within that nature). He is never referred to as an ‘it’, neither is He a force or an energy, but He is a person to know via a personal relationship.

Imagine a God who fights against His people’s enemies through the weaponry of songs! This is exactly what we see in the scriptures – we see God placing singers at the front of armies, we see chains fall off prisoners and prison doors flung open through songs being sung by believers. What are you struggling with today? Ambush Satan with spiritual songs of defiance and trust that God will go before you into battle.

The Blood of Jesus Overcomes

Date: 4 March 2018 | Speaker: Peter Jackel

The shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is what enables us to overcome the enemy (Rev 12:11). When you understand the blood of Christ and what has it has accomplished for you, then each one of us can take our stands against the devil and his accusations against us. We then, like the Hebrews living in Egypt, apply the blood to our lives by faith – and so we grow in our ability to overcome all the devil’s schemes.

The Blood of Jesus

Date: 25 February 2018 | Speaker: Peter Jackel

The bible refers to the ‘precious blood of Jesus’ as that which saves us. When we think about the cross, we often focus on the death, burial and resurrection. But at the cross, the blood of Jesus was shed through injuries, beatings and ultimately being speared through the heart. It is the most important factor in how our salvation is won. Without the ‘shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sin’ – thanks be to God for the shed blood of His one and only son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
